Create Consulting Engineers Ltd has the experience and expertise necessary to undertake Air Quality Impact Assessments in support of planning applications. Experienced and qualified personnel are on hand to advise clients of potential problems early in the planning process and to provide advice on compliance with environmental legislation.

We have the ability and resources to aid clients in the quantification of their existing or potential air quality impacts through the use of both basic and state of the art air quality modelling software. This ability enables us to evaluate the significance of potential impacts and to provide advice on appropriate methods of impact mitigation.

In this way Create Consulting are able to provide strategic air quality advice to clients at all stages of a project and to aid in negotiations with local authorities. This is achieved by close dialogue with the air quality teams within local authorities and results in the production of robust assessments, which aim to overcome any concerns.

The skills and resources available to clients include:

  • Provision of strategic advice at all stages of the project.
  • Project direction and co-ordination.
  • Development of environmental management plans for the control of construction and operational impacts.
  • Provision of air pollution monitoring in accordance with specific guidelines/requirements.
  • Analysis of complex data from our own equipment or that of accredited third parties.
  • Calibration, use and validation of both simple screening software, such as the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and advanced air dispersion models which are tailored to the specifics of the project in question.
  • Advice on mitigation measures.
  • Production of assessments and the provision of individual chapters and non technical summaries for inclusion within environmental statements.
