Value Added:

As a result of our successful collaboration with the client and the architect Rummey Design we have been instructed to prepare CfSH and BREEAM strategy for a further development at Victory Palace in London.

Description: The development comprises a mixed use building with 22 apartments spread over three floors and a ground floor library and a retail unit that will extend to the basement of the building. The non-domestic part will occupy 835m2.

Planning policy challenges that had to be faced include:

  • 20% CO2 emissions reduction from renewable technology
  • 44% CO2 emissions savings above the requirements of the 2006 Building Regulations

We were involved in many aspects of the design process including advice on floor and roof layout to accommodate plant room and PV panels, windows design supported by daylight calculations to achieve both comfort and high fabric energy efficiency standard, specification of heating and cooling system and research on fuel type and delivery schemes of biomass to the site.
