Welcome Stuart Clarke

22.11.2018

Create Consulting Engineers would like to welcome Stuart Clarke to the Milton Keynes office team. Stuart graduated in 2013 with MEng (Hons) Civil Engineering from Swansea University.

Following his graduation, he joined an SME specialising in fibre optic infrastructure as a Project Manager, working on projects such as Nottingham Express Transit Phase Two for Vinci Taylor Woodrow, Openreach’s NGA and BDUK for Carillion Telent, Virgin Media Project Lightning and UK Power Networks fibre infrastructure between substations for Carillion Network Services.

He moved to Dawnus Construction as a Site Engineer to advance his experience within Civil Engineering, working on some interesting highways and building projects. The highlight of his experience there was successfully lowering Bentley Mill Way through the listed 1797 James Bridge Aqueduct as part of Walsall County Council’s Strategic Development Action Plan.

Originally from Solihull, Stuart relocated to Marston Moretaine situated between Milton Keynes and Bedford where he joined Galliford Try. He progressed to Senior Engineer by completing the construction of Harwell Link Road for Oxford County Council and A444 Roundabout Signalisation in Nuneaton for Warwickshire County Council. He has a keen interest in health and safety as well as exploring new technologies in construction. He implemented the use of FieldView within the Local Authorities Highways Division to support the management of health, safety and quality on site.

Stuart is a STEM Ambassador and has regularly visited schools to help pupils of all ages learn about the Civil Engineering and Construction industry, supporting the students through their interview preparation. Stuart is eager to continue his development towards Chartership through the ICE and last year successfully gained an EngTech qualification.

Outside of work, Stuart enjoys the outdoors, travelling, music, hiking, skiing, fitness, cooking, rugby, golf, surfing and supports West Bromwich Albion FC.
