22.06.2018

Principal Engineer - Building Services

Create Consulting Engineers Ltd would like to extend a warm welcome to Chris Maloney who has joined the Building Services team as Principal Engineer.

Chris has worked in the construction industry since leaving school at 18. He started as a trainee consulting engineer and qualified in 1989. Following this Chris worked for a London consultancy for seven years.

Chris moved into contracting in 1991 for “a couple of weeks” following redundancy. This stretched into 18-years working for several specialist sub-contractors carrying out various disciplines of work, both Mechanical and Engineering.

He moved to Norwich in 2003, and returned to consultancy work in 2008 with MLM, rising to Senior Mechanical engineer.

Chris enjoys seeing projects through from start to completion and likes getting involved in all aspects of the design, and derives a great deal of satisfaction from successfully completed projects. He has worked in a variety of sectors Commercial, Education, Retail and Domestic covering all aspects of Mechanical and Public Health design. Chris has been involved in numerous projects over the years including the Royal Household project. He likes to specialise in ventilation design, believing you can never get enough fresh air!

He lives just outside Norwich and is married with one daughter, who is currently studying at Lincoln University.

In his spare time, Chris enjoys restoring old cars, Formula 1, DIY and swimming. On occasion he can be found at the local pool as “Master of ceremonies / commentator” for several of the local swimming clubs.
